A Los Angeles based DJ/Producer Warden is slowly progressing in the dance music scene. He grew up getting inspirations from different genres of music like metal, dubstep, techno, hip-hop and the music produced by such artist is starting to receive attention as it is something different and original. Lately, he has produced tracks in different genres and also collaborated with the well known Borgore. The most recent track has its special place in his mind and he wanted to reach out to his fans and spread the word.

Q1. Congratulations on the release of your new Ascension EP! What was the initial motivation and inspiration behind this EP?

Thank you! I was really inspired by The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Underworld and a couple of other guys from that early era of electronic music. I really love the sound of breaks and how ravey their albums feel, so I wanted to bring that vibe to this EP.

Q2. How has your summer been so far? What has been your absolute highlight so far?

It’s been incredible! I think one of the biggest highlights for me would be playing my first Vegas show at the Hardrock. It was so much damn fun.

Q3. You supported Borgore a lot on his tour.. how did that come about? How did you and Borgore meet?

Yes it was amazing! My manager used to work with Buygore so I used to go hang at their office and use their studio. They’ve been the homies and first people to support me since I moved to LA so I’ve got a lot of love for them. I honestly think I met Borgore just from hanging around the office.

Q4. Which other DJs and/or producers are inspiring you at the moment?

I’ve been really into Moody Good, Noisa, Rezz, Shadient and pretty much everything that’s being released on Brillz’s TWONK label and Zed’s Dead’s Deadbeats. I think both those labels are putting out some weird fresh sounds and are really pushing limits. I love it.

Q5. Are there any artists in particular you would love to collab with this year?

There are some artists I’d love to work with in general whether it’s this year or in the future. I feel like writing with Champagne Drip, Yookie, and Jaxx Da Fishworks would be super fun to make tunes with. I play out their tunes a lot so it would be dope to write with them.

Q6. Do you have any other cool projects/gigs coming up that you can share with us?

There’s stuff coming but unfortunately I can’t announce yet :)

Q7. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Hi! Much love to you guys I hope to come play in Japan soon! Chances are I won’t want to leave. Also I’m gonna need someone to show where the best ramen spot is so I’ll let you guys decide among yourselves ;-)

The potential within Warden is something special and we are all looking forward to what he has to produce in the future. His name is not yet heard of compare to all the big stars out there but we will soon be hearing it more and more. Stay tuned to his new “Ascension EP” and his remaining schedules of the year.
