Q1. Could you tell us about your recent release?

My most recent production has been “The primitives”, released by one of the world’s best labels, ARMADA, under the sublabel GARUDA. Which has an important impact in the industry, as it has released music from and been supported by some of the biggest DJ’s in the world.

Q2. What is your resolution for 2017?

I’m working very hard in the studio with new music, new sounds and a new direction in order to try to reach a more MAINSTREAM audience, more directed at radio. Regarding my dates around the world, this year I will be again in IBIZA, at PACHA, MAMBO and I can also announce exclusively that I’m going to have my own party in Ibiza for the whole summer. It will take place at one of the best and most famous beach clubs. I will also perform at great clubs and festivals around the planet, in places such as Germany, India, Brazil, Mexico, Holland, Spain, Indonesia… I’m sure that it’s going to be the best year of my career so far.

Q3. You recently released ‘The Primitives’ with Otto Orlandi on Garuda, is there any story behind the track? Do you have your next releases planned?

Two friends got together and the musical spark appeared, he had his ideas and I had mine and together we made “The primitives” sound this way.

I’m preparing my next few releases at the moment. As mentioned before I wanted to go in a slightly different direction so I have been spending time developing that sound.

Q4. You are resident for Pacha in Ibiza which saw you play at the likes of David Guetta's F*** Me I'm Famous party as well as Steve Aoki’s, do you have any routines before a gig?

Well - always, always, wherever I may be on this planet, before every show my only meal is FRESH FRUIT, it is my ritual and this is how I prepare and feel comfortable before I go on stage.

Q5. Who or what has influenced you most musically? And why is that?

My biggest influences come from artists who I hardly knew alive, but thanks to their discography are still present. Top-rated artists with a unique talent and place in history, such as Freddy Mercury, Michael Jackson or the Rolling Stones- The magic of their music is different.

Q6. Since DJ Mag started to vote for “Top 100 Clubs”, I want to ask your favorite club and the reasons.

No doubt, my favourite club is PACHA IBIZA. Simply because it has magic and a terrific sound, besides it is watching me grow as an artist, where I have had the possibility to perform with the world’s greatest djs.

Q7. What’s coming up next for you in the early 2017?

A lot of very good music, keep up to date because you are going to like it!

Q8. What is DJ Mag to you as a DJ and producer?

It is the most important means of communication and the most recognised by the worldwide industry. For me it is a pride and a pleasure to have this interview and any others I may be asked to do.

Q9. Do you have anything else you want to say in particular or want to promote?

Thanks to DJ mag for the interview, I hope that music will be at #1 soon. LOL

Q10. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Thanks a lot for the support, I hope to be there soon and take the TAAO sound all over Japan.
