Bursting from the digital underground is Majestique, a Dutch production duo that grew up in the mid-eighties. After they ran into each other, they discovered a shared passion for strange chords, running arpeggiators and dusty drum computers. A passion that is possibly programmed in their brains by influencers like Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis and Giorgio Moroder. With sudden access to unlimited analog machines, it felt like a high power was trying to tell these guys it was time to create something timeless in a digital era where music is consumed so quickly.

Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.

After five years working on and off on the first album we felt we had to do something different. Miles Hi came along with this amazing song about this person that everyone meets in their life that’s kryptonite. So we decided to make it as disco and unpolished as possible, similar to the relation that you should have with this person.

Q2. What is your New Year’s resolution?

Less digital. More analog in 2019! Try to enjoy the real world a bit more.

Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?

DJ Koze - pick up (12 inch version), Disclosure - love can be so hard. Both timeless songs with a lot of oldschool influences.

Q4. What do you feel has been your biggest achievement?

Creating an album that took 5 years to finish.

Q5. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Thanks you guys so much for the support and hope to see you soon!
