JUICY M is not only praised for her sensational DJ skill using 4 CDJs without headphones but she is also recognised as one of the hottest female DJ/Producers in the scene. In 2010, she was awarded with “Best Female DJ of the Year” in her home country Ukraine. She continues to travel around the world doing shows and festivals whilst modelling for influential magazines including FHM or XXL. Let’s hear about her latest release and the special genre she really got interested in.
Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.
I always wanted to do this garage bass style track and it's influenced by JOYRYDE whom I met in Los Angeles when we worked in the same studio. Then when it was finally finished we've decided to release it on DIVERGE records, it's a young label but the team is very passionate about this kind of music and they always deliver quality products. Guys from DIVERGE proposed to do it as a collab with UK producer ATRIP who added his really nice touch to the track. I'm really excited about it and will definitely do more tracks in this style.
Q2. How is this track special compare to other tracks you’ve released throughout the career?
It was my first experience in bass house music which I love so much at the moment and I think we did a great job with ATRIP.
Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?
From recent sets, I really love '808' by TV Noise that is coming out very soon on Spinnin and unofficial remix on Zedd's 'Middle' by Italian super-talented producer JURO. Check them out!
Q4. What was your best gig so far and what memories you have on this gig?
The best so far was Medusa Festival last year in Spain. I played a sunrise set from 6 am to 7 am and still there were 20000 people. It was insane!
Q5. Any exciting new projects coming up that you can share with us?
I have couple summer tracks that are coming out very soon. One called 'Feel Like Dancing' with DAVS and The Kemist and another one crazy moombahton called 'Booty Pop' with my girls Da Candy and Boogshe. Can't wait until they will be released!
