Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.

We have been good buddies and have been touring with the Wolfpack boys for many years so when they asked us to collaborate it was a no brainer. We are super chuffed to be releasing this under Got Me Baby! Records, a new imprint under the legendary Armada. We cut the vocals ourselves, did most of them in London but kept tweaking for months and months. We’re happy with this final mix and hope everyone likes it !

Q2. How was 2017? What was the best experience of 2017?

Tomorrowland is a super special festival - we were so excited to play main stage for both weekends this year!  We also love going back to Ushuaia in Ibiza for our NERVONation shows and Omnia Las Vegas for a sure party every time. There are so many great festivals - Lollapalooza, Parookaville, Balaton Sound Festival, Ziget… Too many to name !

Q3. What do you feel has been your biggest achievement?

Right now we are celebrating a record we made with Sofi Tukker being on top 40 radio across the USA and a major Apple sync that came with it. The second half of 2017 was kind to us! Career highlights in the past include when a song we wrote for David Guetta - When Love Takes Over - won a grammy…  It felt like that was the turning point in our careers when people actually started listening to our songs. Another highlight was when our debut album Collateral reach #1 on iTunes. That was awesome!

Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?

NERVO - In Your Arms

NERVO - Like Home

We love to hear fans sing along to our records and people seem to love these in our sets. They get a great reaction!

Q5. Can you give some advice for the amateur DJs. How did you acquire your DJ skills during you amateur years?

Some advice would be to worry about what you can control and forget the things you can’t. Always be yourself and make the music that you want to make, styles always change and genres always grow so stay true to yourself as an artist.

As far as learning how to DJ, that came later. We knew we wanted to make music from a young age and were writing songs from around 14 years old onwards. We left Australia when we were 19 and moved to the UK to pursue that dream. We have been playing piano since we were 7 years old but we needed to learn how to use music production/recording programs so we took a course at London School of Sound to learn how to program music when we were around 24years old. We made a lot of really bad tunes but we learned a lot along the way. We really learned how to DJ through our friends who DJ’d and also through youtube!

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

HELLO to all our AWESOME Japanese fans. We love you guys! Our last show at Ageha Tokyo almost made us cry with joy. Seeing you wait for us with your signs gives us so much energy. We hope to come back in 2018!!

NERVO has been collaborated with Japanese music scene deeply as one of the member of FUTURE UNION creator team. Memorable tunes such as Namie Amuro “Love story”, Kumi Koda”Bambi”, Kana Nishino “I”, Daichi Miura “GO FOR IT” are made by the collaboration. Stay tuned to their upcoming release and not miss their next move in 2018.
