Italian Duo, Flaremode which was founded by Jonny Chiappetta and Francesco Granata had released their brand new track “My Religion” from World-famous Armada Music. Many well-known DJs like Don Diablo, YVESV, Ummet Ozcan, Tommy Trash, Feenixpawl, Jason Forte were fascinated the energy from the track when they played it at their gigs. DJ MAG JP got a chance to exclusively interview with the growing talented Duo.
Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.
We are both big fans of Bruno Mars, and this is where we always take our inspiration from!
We produced “My Religion” with our friends BLKWHT in 2016, and then we decided to add a little vocal hook in the breakdown and right after we finished it we sent the song to Jason Forté , A&R of Eclypse Records, who decided to sign it! We are really happy about this release because we’ve been receiving a lot of support from many of our favourite DJs like Don Diablo, Tommy Trash , R3hab, etc..
Q2. How was this year? What was the best experience of 2017?
The best experience was to be supported by the legend of the industry, David Guetta. He played our latest release “Cocobolo” and we were beyond excited about it. We grew up listening to his music, so when we saw him playing our track we were incredibly proud of it.
Q3. What do you feel has been your biggest achievement?
To become one of the official remixers for Snoop Dogg has been by far the biggest achievement for us. We remixed his song “Flip It,” which has been certified Golden Records in 2016! But we are also really happy about our latest tour in Asia! We played more than 16 gigs in 5 different countries in less than one month, and we cannot wait for the next ones!
Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?
The first one would be our song “Drill Machine.” Even though we released that song many times before we still love the reaction from the crowd whenever we play it!
The second one would be “Great Spirit” by Armin Van Buuren and Vini Vici. It’s certainly one of the best songs produced in the past two years! We also recently released a similar track titled “house of psy.” It incorporates Psy trance sounds but still has the typical 128 Bpm electro house track structure !
Q5. What do you have coming up in the future?
We have many things coming up! At the end of December we will release our brand new progressive house track titled “Darkest Hour” ! It’s a vocal track featuring the talented singer Katty McGrew! This song is the natural follow-up of our previous release “ Best Of Life” and it will be released on CAPSLOCK Records, the brand new imprint of Cloud 9 Music !
Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.
Japan is really important for us! Most of the streaming of our songs on Youtube and Spotify is coming from there and we are extremely grateful for it! We hope to play in Japan really soon and we are already working on it! Ci vediamo presto, JAPAN!
They have been done to remix songs of Snoop Dogg, Fatman Scoop, Eiffel 65 and more as official remixer so far. Because of that highly-talented remixing skills, Flaremode is earning quite the reputation from dance music scene and legendary artists like Devid Guetta. We are excited to see all that comes out of future from them.
