Original uplifting trance is the young talent Ben Gold’s strength when it comes to music production. His ability and talent has got himself working along with the Trance legend Armin van Buuren, Gareth Emery or Markus Schulz and continues to receive support from other top figures in the scene. Last year he released the theme song of Armin van Buuren’s A State of Trance, “I’m In A State Of Trance” and he is one talent to keep an eye on. 

Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it. 

It has power, authority and tons of attitude; Its trademark Ben Gold! Kingdoms has been tried and tested at the biggest festivals over the summer by Armin van Buuren and myself. It was the first track I finished in my new studio, so its really special!

Q2. How was this year? What was the best experience of 2017?

2017 has been another great year, I feel blessed. I’ve played some amazing shows around the world, released music i’m extremely proud of and finished the year with a record that is very special to me!

Q3. What do you feel has been your biggest achievement? 

I think being able to work in the music industry all my adult life is my biggest achievement. Working closely alongside Gareth Emery at Garuda, winning the A State Of Trance 750 anthem contest and performing on the biggest stages are all massive highlights on this journey.  

Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?

My new record Kingdoms has been in every set since I first played it at Tomorrowland during the summer. It just works on the dance floor. Its always a special moment in my sets. Tempo Giusto’s remix of my track Atomic; This one is so slamming. SO much energy. I made an exclusive edit for my sets ;)

Q5. What do you have coming up in the future? 

I’m working on some new projects for 2018. Maybe a new concept idea and artist album… Lets wait and see.

I played in Tokyo and Osaka in December of 2016 and absolutely loved it. The people, the culture, the landscape.. I love everything about Japan and can’t wait to come back soon :)
