Savi, an up and coming DJ/Producer from Chicago has begun producing since 2015 and by 2017, he has already produced together with the well-known sister duo NERVO “NERVO & SAVI feat. Lauren Bennett - Forever or Nothing”. He is growing very rapidly. Recently, he has also remixed the Chainsmokers’ “Honest” and within 10 days, it has recorded over 1 million streams world wide. Let us share an interview about his recent activities and upcoming schedules.
Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.
Home is a song that is incredibly special to me as an artist and a human being.... I live on the road. I am based out of LA but travel every single week and my family lives in Chicago. I don’t get to see them very often and the road can be a lonely place. When I listen to this song the verses feel how I feel on the road and the hook is what I feel when I am with my family doesn’t matter where we are if I’m with them I’m home. The drops are just the celebrations of being together!
Q2. How was your summer?
My Summer was intense. I played 80 shows this summer alone by far the most traveled Summer I’ve ever had but since putting out my collab with Havana Brown & Bebe Rexha and dropping my first single “Breathe It In” my music has been non stop and it’s really allowed me to reach new audiences... seeing the responses to my music at these shows has been mind blowing. When people are singing the words to my songs at my shows it makes me feel alive! Watching people react to Home and the messages I get on social media are so positive it’s unreal to me to see how far my music has come in such a short period of time. Working with Dash Berlin on this has been awesome and watching him play the club version to his fans puts the record on another level! I did an official remix for The Chainsmokers new single “Honest” and they broke that down and have been performing my remix live at all their shows around the world. I’m so excited about everything that’s coming together. I also launched my radio show “Up All Night” a couple months ago and that’s been picked up in many markets around the world already. The title of the show is perfect for my life because I am a work-a-holic and always up late trying to finish each days work load...I’m actually wrapping up my Summer as we speak I took 3 days to meet my family on vacation with my nieces at Disney World in Orlando and am writing this interview from Hollywood Studios!
Q3. Which other DJs or producers are inspiring you right now?
Other artists that are inspiring me right now are Rezz (her sounds are next level) skrillex (is always pushing boundaries and trying new things) khaled whos voice is heavenly and honestly I’ve been listening to a lot of 80s music again and have found a lot of inspiration for new things from there. I have so much music made already that will release over the next year that I’m playin with a lot of new sounds to see how Savi Music evolves without biting what anyone else is doing.
Q4. Are there any artists in particular you would love to collab with in the near future?
Ha speaking of Khaled I would absolutely love to work with him! My dream vocalist is Sia.. As for other DJs I would love to do a record with The Chainsmokers they were a huge influence on my music and would love to get outside the box and work with someone that goes hard like Zedds Dead!
Q5. What do you have coming up in the future?
Coming up for me next is an official remix for Rachel Plattens new single Broken Glass and then I have something very special for the holidays with the Pentatonix...Next year expect at least 8-10 new original songs from me as well and hopefully a few other major collabs! As for touring I’m hoping to break further into the international festival circuit. I’ve been going through the agent process for the last couple months and feel that I have finally made a decision on who is Best to complete my team so I’m super pumped about that as well!

To my fans in Japan I thank you for your support. The only way I can grow is because of you and if you dig my music please add it to your playlists and share it with your friends! I absolutely will play Asia next year and I hope to meet as many of you as possible!
Savi is rapidly growing with his polished sense and producing skills allowing him to reach out to bigger crowds every time. He has also recently joined the TAO Group as well as Hakkasan Group & E11even Miami playing as a dominant resident DJ at the world’s top clubs. 2018 will be another exciting year with many releases and we hope to see more from the upcoming artists Savi.
