Avicii’s documentary film “Avicii:True Stories” is about the get released exactly on this day next month. The documentary is directed by Levan Tsikurishvili who has been travelling with the Grammy nominee artist Avicii for over 4 years for this film. Let us share an interview with the director of the documentary Levan Tsikurishvili and the stories behind shooting an exciting film yet to be premiered.

Q1. Why did you decide to take “Avicii: True Stories” ?

The name came up from the idea I had from the very beginning, which is to create an honest story about Tim as a person and not just about the artist Avicii. Everybody knows Avicii world wide,  but very few people know Tim personally. I think many who know Avicii are very curious to get to know the real person behind the giant Avicii. So Avicii: True Stories just felt very natural.

Nowadays it’s very easy to follow your favorite artist on social medias and think: "ohh i know this guy already", but usually there’s so many more things behind the social media accounts which I think is important to be aware of. You don’t really have any idea what’s going on behind it.

Q2. Which is the best part of this movie?

I don’t want to spoil the best parts in the movie yet, I’m leaving this to your imagination to decide.  Let’s discuss this one once the movie is out in Japan.:) But there are a lot of great moments, and many especially come from Japan!!

Q3. We heard you followed Avicii for over four years and captured fly-on-the-wall footage of his experiences and thinking. What do you think about the most attractive point of Avicii?

There’s many of them of course, depending on in which context you want to put it, but what I think is the most attractive part about Avicii is the endless music Tim has in him of course. It’s very inspiring! He is also super intelligent and at times very funny.

Q4. What was the most difficult thing as you took this movie?

As a director it’s always difficult to find a perfect balance between private life and work if you really want to give 110% of what you love and really want to do. But it becomes easier to handle after few month of practising.

Q5. Do you have anything you want to say in particular or want to promote?

I really want to thank Japan for the amazing 5 days we spent around the country. I’m always telling my friends around the world that so far Japan is the most beautiful country I have been in. Love everything about Japan and I know Tim really loved it as well.

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Ohh I remember every single of you Avicii fans I filmed in Japan. So many of you who I had the opportunity to meet appear in the movie;). You should really be proud of the amazing Japanese fan culture, it’s really something special.
