A Grammy Nominee group Fatum has released a new track “On My Own” featuring Angel Taylor from one of the most respected labels, Armada Music. Since its release, the track has been receiving great support from their fans and they wanted to discuss about ‘behind the scene’. Let’s hear what they have to say, since their first single “Words”.

Q1. Congratulations on your "On My Own" release. Can you tell us more about it?

(Daniel Davis of FATUM) Thank you! This is our first collab with Angel Taylor, and we are really excited for it to be out on Armind (Armada). Angel has got to be one of the most talented vocalists / songwriters we have ever worked with, so when we sent her the musical bed for the song - she up and ran with it. Once we heard the vocal, we knew it was going to be our first big breakout vocal track.

Q2. How has your summer been so far?

Really amazing, but also really busy! We just finished the Anjunabeats North American tour where played at eight different venues in only a few weeks. We also played our first festival at Escapade in Canada, and last week we won Global Journey DJ Battle presented by Brussels Airlines in partnership with Tomorrowland. We also released three singles, a remix for both Armin van Buuren and Late Night Alumni, and are being featured on Armin’s upcoming Ibiza compilation. So between the touring and production, although hectic, it’s been amazing thus far!

Q3. Can you pick one or two must plays in your sets and why?

The majority of music we play is our own, so we would have to say that our most popular track has to be FATUM vs. Judah - Love On A Real Train (Tangerine Dream Cover). This song was first debuted by Above & Beyond at ABGT 200 in Amsterdam last year, and ever since then it has been our most anticipated release to date. The track has a beautiful long breakdown that showcases Tangerine Dream’s amazing melodic talent and then leads to a huge climax drop that really sets the crowd off. It works every time.

The other track that we love playing is FATUM feat. Angel Taylor - On My Own. It has such a summer type vibe and does fantastic at every show. Now that it is released it will be great to see everyone sing along to it with us!

Q4. Can you pick one or two of your favourite dance artists at the moment?

Flume

Q5. Are there any artists in particular you would love to collab with next time?

Mat Zo would be our top pick, or Jason Ross.

Q6. What would Japanese fans be surprised to learn about you?

Most people don’t know that we are a 4 person dance act. So it’s important for us to clarify and get the word out! :)

Q7. Do you have any cool production tips you can share for aspiring producers looking to improve their skills?

Be patient with yourself. A lot of the struggle about creating any type of art is the battle within. Keep pushing, keep believing, and work hard. These things take time, and even though we live in a world of instant gratification, it is important to understand that some things take longer than others. So don’t give up.

Q8. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Thank you for all your love and support! We can’t wait to come over and play in Japan and see all your friendly faces!

Fatum is receiving support from one of the legends Armin van Buuren and others along the line of dance music. Their new release “On My Own” has been aired on ASOT radio show and had a great start. Each one adds to their original Fatum music and creates something of their own which is also one of the reasons as to why a legend Armin van Buuren is heavily supporting and looking forward to their bright future.
