His recent releases “Hypnotized”, “Coffee Can Money” with Borgeous from Armada, “Beautiful Heart” from PRMD, he continues to release hit tracks in the dance music scene showing his influence as a LA based artist. MORTEN has previously performed with David Guetta on stage at Pacha Ibiza as well as receiving great support from Avicii and Steve Aoki on the stage of Ushuaia in the past. Let’s hear about his new release and his future plans to entering the festival season.

Q1. Congratulations on your "Keep Me From You" release. Can you tell us more about it and about the collaboration with Oda?

Thank you so much. The track has been a long wait but definitely worth it. Well the beat itself was initially done as a rough draft like 13 months ago. We tried to get the right vocals on for so long and it seemed like the magic was missing until I heard Oda.I could hear from the first verse that she was the one. We went back and forth a couple of times until we finalized the record. I think she had a unique take on the track and her voice was just magical. I'm very happy with the outcome.

Q2. How is your 2017 so far?

Its been a very productive year in terms of making music and releasing some club records and I feel like I've just started. The records I've been working on for more than 2-3 years are finally getting out there.

Q3. Which track is your favorite from your past releases and what inspired you to produce this track?

They kinda all have something special and something I love otherwise I wouldn't have released them but Ukali, was and is something I play the most. The elephant sample I think is cool and catchy.

Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?

I recently released a record called Hypnotized. I'm obsessed with playing out the record live - the crowds reaction is wild. I made an intro version of it that's really big and dramatic. Excision - Excision & Dion Timmer - Final Boss has been a part of my sets the last few months. It takes the energy to next level and I love the track.

Q5. What would Japanese fans be surprised to learn about you?

That my fave brand is Adidas Y3 and I collect on Bearbricks - or that I can play the flute, which I am not that proud of to be honest, haha.

Q6. What are your plans for the Summer?

Keep making music and finalize all the projects we have going as well as play shows all around so I can present the music and try out the unreleased tracks I have.

Q7. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

One of my biggest dreams when I was a kid was to come to Japan one day, just to experience the culture and the people. Now - luckily my profession allows me to express myself as an artist playing shows and getting my music out there but I have yet to play Japan - I truly hope to see you guys soon.
