The track “Waiting” had reached over 15 million plays around the world is recognised as one of the most played track in 2016. Let’s hear from the up and coming youngster talent Throttle on his new release and his festival season plans.

Q1. Congratulations on your "Found You (Make Me Yours)" release. Can you tell us more about it?

Thank you! It's a really special song for me as it's the first time I've sung on one of my own songs. Once I'd recorded the vocal, the main idea was finished in less than a day - it's the same with all my favourite songs of mine. I originally planned to replace my voice with a different singer but by the time it was finalised everyone convinced my just to leave my voice on there.

Q2. How is your 2017 so far?

Flat out! Ive toured Australia & the US this year and I'm about to head over to a Europe for the summer. Fingers crossed I'll be doing a run of shows in Asia this year too! I definitely need to get back to Japan, my two shows in Tokyo last year were two of my favourites. I've also been putting out lots more music in 2017 and there's plenty more to come.

Q3. Which track would be your favourite from your work and what inspired you to produce that track?

Tough to say! I feel like I'm evolving more and more with every release I put out, I love each release more than the last. I'm really proud of how 'Make Me Yours' turned out, it feels amazing to have done everything on that song; the vocals, the production, even a little guitar solo!

Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?

My remix of Earth, Wind and Fire's 'September': It's pure magic every time I play that vocal. Cazztek - Came To Get Funky. I only discovered this song a month ago but it's a monster! It's got a groovy sax line which naturally I loved, but the baseline is epic and makes the track a highlight in my sets.

Q5. What would Japanese fans be surprised to learn about you?

I thought I was going to die last time I was in Tokyo because I overloaded on the spiciest spicy ramen in history.

Q6. What are your plans for the Summer?

I'll be in Europe for 3 months playing all different festivals and club shows. I was just able to announce Tomorrowland which is a dream come true!

Q7. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

"Fingers crossed I'll see you very very soon!"
