LVNDSCAPE has released numerous remix of hit House tracks and the Dutch DJ/Producer has started to get recognised in the scene. In 2015, he remixed Ed Sheeran and Rudimental’s “Bloodstream” and released on SoundCloud, which only after a month hit over half a million plays and created a buzz. We have managed to get some words from him on his new release and about his future plans stepping up in this Dance Music scene.
Q1. We heard you will be releasing his new single ‘Walk Away’ ft. Kaptan on Friday April 7. Can you tell us a bit about it?
Walk Away’ is for the ones that got away and for the ones who loved and are still being loved. It’s about remembering how wonderful and amazing life can feel when you share it with a special someone. There’s so much negativity and suffering in this world and I feel that we shouldn’t forget how capable we are of loving. So let’s keep our hearts open to love!
Q2. How is your 2017 so far?
It has been a great start of the year so far! I released ‘Need To Feel Loved’ (together with Sander van Doorn) in January and it has already passed 1 million plays on Spotify which I’m very happy about. Also I have had quite a few gigs in some very cool and beautiful places like Switserland, Croatia, Czech Republic and the UK. And on April 7th I could finally present my new song ‘Walk Away’ to the world which I’ve been really looking forward to!
Q3. What do you personally consider to be the most important moments in your artistic career?
One would definitely be the release of ‘Is This Love’, a remake of the Bob Marley song I did together with Bolier which was officially approved by the Marley family. It took us a year to get everything arranged and we eventually reached #16 in the Official UK Charts, so that was really worth it! We’ve reached 62 million plays on Spotify and we’re still counting, so I’m very happy about that!
Q4. Which track would be your favourite from your work and what inspired you to produce that track?
‘Speeches’ is still one of my personal favourites. I love how the different electronic and acoustic elements like the brass section came together with Joel Baker’s voice. It feels like a authentic song to me and I’d love to do more stuff like that in the future.
Q5. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?
Shorty - Vazilando (Kryder & Eddie Thoneick Remix)
I really love to play this track during my sets. It has latin influences combined with an energetic groovy house feeling. The tribal percussion and uplifting piano chords get the tropical vibe going on. Such a great one, love it!
EDX - All I Know (Original Mix)
This is a very new song, but also one of my go-to live. The old-skool bass and synths are simply amazing but the best part is the rhythmic piano chords, just goosebumps all over.
Q6. What would Japanese fans be surprised to learn about you?
Whenever I have some time off I hook up with some friends to play Rainbox Six Siege online on Playstation 4. Friendly fire always causes some unexpected fun haha.
Q7. What’s coming up next for you in the early 2017?
There’s a lot more new music coming up this year and I can give you a little premiere; there will be a special version coming up of every song I do :)

LVNDSCAPE continues to produce and release remixes only he can create and is slowly but surely creeping up the ladder to success. The collaboration remix produced with Bolier of the Reggae legend Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” recorded over 15 million streaming and created a great brand image of himself to the world.
