Corey James, a DJ/Producer who earned respect and support from many of the top figures in the scene such as Nicky Romero and has just finished his Asia Tour also performed in Japan. His new release “Bring it” is his 6th single releasing from Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings and is another electrifying track from his selections. Corey James officially receives requests to remix tracks from Steve Angello, Galantis, Aless, Max Vangeli, Feenixpawl, AN21 and many more, proving his ability of remixing and not only producing and making the crowd go insane with his DJ skills. Let’s hear about his story behind the new single and what he has coming up in his schedule.

Q1. We heard your new track "Bring It" just released on Protocol Recordings. Can you tell us a bit about it?

Yes! "Bring It" is my brand new single indeed. I was experimenting in the studio and wanted to create something fresh for festivals and clubs but something a bit different from everything that is out there at the minute. Super happy with how it came out and we already have some amazing support from big DJ's such as David Guetta and Martin Garrix.

Q2. How is your 2017 so far?

Its going really good, had a busy release schedule and lots of shows, I cant complain. There is so much material I have in the works so it's really exciting to slowly roll it out for fans to see. Can't wait to hit up all the summer festivals as well, going to be a good year!

Q3. What do you personally consider as your the most important moments in your career?

I think my guestmix for Steve Angello's BBC Radio 1 Show was definitely a highlight, I'm really appreciative of Steve for asking me to do it on such a legendary show and station. Another great moment was being booked to play Creamfields, it's is my "local" festival, so its a huge thing for me to play there.

Q4. Which track would be your favourite from your releases and what inspired you to produce this one?

Hmmm its a tough one, I think "Another Storm" is one of my favourites because when I wrote that melody it really had a meaning behind it, I was in a weird / dark place at the time. So everytime I hear it now it reminds me of a certain time in my life. I really wanted to make something that was emotional and a track that would stay around for years not just be released and forgotten about.

Q5. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and tell us why you chose them?

My collab with Teamworx - "Make The Crowd Go" is a must play! I include it in nearly every set just because of the energy it has, it works so well on the dancefloor and at festivals. Another track would be Eric Prydz's "Opus". I have been playing that for the last year or so and it works so well in clubs. It's a big break from all the other tracks in my set and really changes the whole mood in DJ sets...it's refreshing.

Q6. What would Japanese fans be surprised to learn about you?

Well first fact would be - I love Japan! I've only been once and it was an amazing experience. I think I'm the only person in the world who doesnt like sushi though haha.

Q7. What's coming up next for you in the early 2017? Any plans on touring Asia?

I've just got back from my first Asia Mini-Tour. I played in Japan, Bangkok, Bali and Macau. It was an amazing tour, really sick clubs and was great to meet so many fans from Asia. I will definitely be back soon! Coming up next I have a few more releases while I'm working away in the studio, before getting back on the road for some Europe dates and summer festival season. I can't wait!

Q8. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

I hope to be back in Japan really soon and meet more of you. You guys have an amazing energy. It's definitely one of my favourite places ever!
