A personel who stepped into the world of music at the age of 9, still continues to rapidly evolve. Max Styler joined Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak family on his 18th birthday and is now making thrilling releases to all of his fans around the world. The boss Steve Aoki is supporting his music but also other DJ/Producers at peak points such as DIPLO, DILLON FRANCIS, DJ SNAKE, THE CHAINSMOKERS are giving love to DJ/Producer Max Styler. Let’s hear how it feels to be part of the Dim Mak family at a young age and being supported by the top players in the scene.

Q1. We heard your recent track ‘Knock Me Down’ on Dim Mak. Can you tell us more about the track and how was it to collaborate with MAKJ and Elayna Boynton?

Working with other artists is always fun for me. You always learn new techniques or certain ways other producers do things. Working with MAKJ was awesome, we are both from the same town and thought it was finally time to get in the studio together and work on music. The instrumental of Knock Me Down actually was done about a year ago. It took us some time to find the right singer that we were envisioning for the track but as soon as we finally heard the vocal from Elayna after a few months had passed we knew she was the best fit for our song.

Q2. How was your 2017 so far?

2017 has been going great! Working on more music than I ever have before. Life is starting to get very busy and I'm very excited for the future.

Q3. Where do you get your inspiration from when producing music?

Honestly my inspiration comes randomly. Sometimes it might be from a movie, sometimes video games, and also other music obviously.

Q4. Which artists inspire you the most?

The artists who inspire me are the artists who aren't afraid to do something different. I'd say my top five favorite most inspiring producers for me right now would be: Medasin, Flume, Stint, The M Machine, and Billboard.

Q5. Which places would you like to visit this year as an artist and why?

I want to come to Japan so badly! I love the culture, the food, how technologically advanced the city is. I can't wait to go to Japan some day. Im planning on making it over their this year at some point hopefully. Other than Japan, id like to go back to Montreal Canada and Id love to go back to London as well someday soon.

Q6. Please tell us something about your future plans.

Future plans as of right now are pretty simple and straight forward. Make as much music as possible, get in as many studio sessions as i possibly. Ive already got about 30 songs that are done or in the works that I've started this year. Its going to be a good year!
