Signed to HARDWELL’s Revealed Recordings and also runs his own “WOLV Records”. He is also another top player who contributes to create this industry a better place. Dyro not only receives support from other top players in the scene but he also willingly supports others such as Bassjackers and many more. Let’s hear what news he is going to expose to his fans through the interview.

Q1. Your track ‘Alive’ with Goja is your latest release, can you tell us a bit about the track and how it came about?
Goja are two incredibly talented Italian guys signed to my label WOLV records. They had been working on the first demo for a while. Later around march 2016 I started working on the song to finish it and it became a collab. I’m really excited about the result and think it’s a perfect 50/50 between Goja’s sound and mine.

Q2. Why did you wait so long in between releasing music last year, and ‘Alive’?
Last year I was forced to make some internal changes within my team, I started working with TMWRK management last May and there where a lot of things to fix, structurally. I also was in the middle of a transition phase. I decided to make my discography more diverse and experiment more with different genres. Luckily all went well and we are locked & loaded to release a lot of music this year.

Q3. Do you have more new music ready? And is it important for you to distance yourself from your old music?
Yeah a lot. To a certain extend I do believe so, but it’s all part of the process. I personally wish I had more time to think about what type of music I really wanted to make back when I had my first couple of releases, but at the end it’s all about what’s next.

Q4. Where do you find your inspiration for music? Is it a feeling, a person, a setting?
Could be anything, as long as it has a rhythm, melody or a specific sound. I write down idea’s, record myself humming or scatting.

Q5. Tell us about your label WOLV, how has that developed over the past year?
It has existed for two years right now. I’m really proud of what we have achieved. We have a strong following and the artists we have signed, Goja and Loopers, are extremely talented. Their new music is really dope. We are going to focus more on artists careers and development rather than releasing one-off’s weekly. Which will result in less releases but better quality.

Q6. What artists should we be paying attention to on WOLV?
Loopers and Goja.

Q7. What was the best experience of 2016 for you? And what are your resolutions for 2017?
Seeing so many new smiles around the world. I played in so many places I hadn’t played before. It’s very encouraging for me to meet fans where you’d never think you’d have them. Like in the middle of Asia, in a city you’ve never even heard of.

Q8. What was your first impression of Japan? Was there something that was particularly surprising and did it meet your expectations?
It completely lived up to my expectations. I love the fashion in Japan and the food is just outstanding. And my Japanese fans are one of the most dedicated fans in the world.

Q9. With our Top 100 Clubs at DJ Mag, I want to ask you what are your favorite clubs and why?
I think from a DJ perspective it’s never about the club but more about the fans that attend the club. I really love Bootshaus in Cologne because the fans there are crazy.

Q10. Tell us about what is next for you – more music? An album? Any big shows planned?
I have about 8 songs ready and working on another one as we speak. Really dope collaborations with GTA, What So Not, ETC. No album yet, but never say never.
