Q1. We heard your new track “Shimmer”. Can you tell us more about your new release?

Shimmer was a song that I made over a very sunny independence day weekend. It all came together mostly in about 2 days. I decided to call it Shimmer because I felt the sound of the song itself shined and sounded pretty.

Q2. What was your best experience of 2016? Do you have any resolutions for 2017?

My best experience of 2016 I would have to say was getting married to my wife in May, nothing else could top that.

For 2017 I don't really have any resolutions but I am planning on writing a ton more original music and attempting to solidify my presence in the electronic music world.

Q3. How do you get inspired when producing music?

Inspiration can come from almost anywhere for me. Sometimes I have no real inspiration when I first start working but after I write a couple chords or notes, something happens and I'm all of a sudden hooked on what I'm doing and immersed in the musical journey.

I think my inspiration somehow coexists with my confidence, if I'm feeling good about myself and what I'm doing inspiration can come very easily.

Q4. Are there any other artists that have influenced your sound?

Some of my very favorite artistic influences would have to be M83, Hans Zimmer, Deadmau5, and Eric Prydz. I see their influence in a lot of my own music.

Q5. Since DJ Mag started to vote "Top 100 Clubs", I want to ask you what are your favorite clubs (and why they are your favorite)?

To be honest I don't go out to night clubs very often, I'm usually cooped up at home working on productions mostly.

A couple cool places I've been to though have been Soundbar in Chicago, RYSE in St. Louis, and MIA in Vancouver.

I think something those places all have in in common is that they provide decent music and a nice experience without breaking your wallet.

Q6. Please tell us something about your future plans.

My plans include working on more original music, developing my own live experience for my performances, and concentrating on stregnthening up my brand.

Q7. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Kon'nichiwa! Thank you for all the support you guys have given me so far, I'm very glad to have you on this musical journey with me. I hope I can come visit some of you in Japan soon. :)
