Mr. Belt & Wezol formed from two Dutch individuals Bart and Sam are one of the players under a spotlight not only from their fans but also in the scene. One of their recent releases “Finally” and “Somebody To Love” has hit high up in the chart and have been highly rated earning more respect. They’ve just released their new track “Boogie Wonderland” so, let us share the exclusive interview.

Q1. We heard your new track “Boogie Wonderland” is stored on 23rd of December. Can you tell us more about your new track?

Sam (Wezol): Sure thing. It all really started with the original “Boogie Wonderland” by Earth, Wind & Fire of course. As some of your readers might know, our music mainly revolves around revamping old classics. After “Finally” and “Somebody To Love” it was now time for disco to get the Mr. Belt & Wezol re-work! I really tried to keep the disco vibe alive in my version and I think I quite achieved that.

Q2. When did you decide to start producing music and what/who inspired you?

Sam (Wezol): I think I started producing around the age of twelve. I got some music software from my parents for my birthday and have been messing around with music ever since. I still see it the same as I saw it back then: as a hobby. Although now it’s on a slightly bigger scale, haha.

Q3. How do you get the inspiration from when producing music?

Sam (Wezol): Oof, that’s a very tough question. Especially because I don’t know the answer to it. Inspiration comes and goes. I do really like the The Legend of Zelda series though, I think that game’s atmosphere really inspired me a lot to make music. Thanks Japan!

Q4. What do you personally consider to be the most important moments in your artistic career?

Bart (Mr. Belt): Definitely us getting signed by Spinnin’ Records. That really gave us that good extra push that we needed to reach a bigger audience.

Q5. Since DJ Mag started to vote "Top 100 Clubs", I want to ask you what are your favorite clubs and why?

Bart (Mr. Belt): I think ‘The Hoxton’ in Toronto, Canada is our number one club in which we played so far. The atmosphere is always great there, Canadians sure know how to party.

Q6. How was this year? What was the best experience of 2016?

Bart (Mr. Belt): Tough question! But I think our best experience of 2016 was our little Scandinavia tour. We did three shows there for this event called Weekend Festival. Another great moment was actually this month, we played at an event in the Netherlands where we both used to work for; it was one of our best shows ever.

Q7. What is DJ Mag to you as a DJ and producer?
Sam (Wezol): I think for both DJs and producers DJ Mag is a great hub for all news related to the electronic dance music world, but also a resource to gain new knowledge! All in one, really.

Q8. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.
