This week’s DJ Mag podcast comes to us via Turbo Recordings’ Charlotte de Witte, who has just released her latest EP, 'Sehnsucht', this week.

Born and raised in Belgium, de Witte has the techno world at her feet at the tender age of just 23.

Her podcast sees the rising star deliver an hour of techno slammers from the likes of Slam and Markus Suckut alongside a bevy of her own jagged-sounding productions.

“I love the darkness you find in electronic music,” explains de Witte, “especially within techno."

"I find melancholic music so much more interesting and dark sounding techno really attracts me. When I look at the main stages of some of the world's most famous festivals and I see everyone dancing to this commercial, happy music, I don't really understand it.”

With her Saturday night radio show, ‘Playground Charlotte de Witte’ on Studio Brussels, and a residency at Brussels Techno institution Fuse, de Witte's ascension of the techno ranks is unstoppable.
