If you needed more evidence of the death of EDM look no further than EDM posterboy David Guetta’s new track alongside Showtek, which is aptly called ‘The Death of EDM’.

While the track certainly isn’t your usual hands-in-the-air tripe from the French producer, it does — like quite a few of Guetta's recent tracks — sound a lot like someone else's work, namely Gesaffelstein’s ‘Pursuit’.

It’s not the first time Guetta has been called out for artistic borrowing, his track for the forthcoming European Football Championship was called out for a being very similar to Major Lazer and DJ Snake’s ‘Lean On’.

It great to see Guetta experimenting with different styles — it’s just a shame he’s had to borrow from one of the France’s innovative producers in the process.

Check out the track below and then listen to Gesa’s track too, and let us know what you think in the comments on DJMag Japan Facebook Page.
