Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.

The first part of the remix edition of my latest album “Propaganda” got released in late November and will be completed by Part 2 in the beginning of February. As it’s a remix album the inspiration was forwarded to the artists who got selected to make their own version of my album. It was pretty hard to make a selection on who should re-work the tracks. I had some artists in mind which I definitely wanted to put their hands on my music. Additionally my label mates should be on the album as well.

The creative work was actually more to get a symbiosis within the Senso regular artists like André Winter, hatzler, Carlo Ruetz and SHADED as well as the upcoming stars like the young Russian producer Maksim Dark or Berlin’s mastermind Distale. Adding to those I was just super happy to see new faces such as Fur Coat, Olivier Giacomotto, Raxon, Shall Ocin and Marc Houle. After all I’m more than stoked about the outcome of the album. Every artist delivered a very unique twist to the tracks. It’s also very good to see how the tracks got recognized – the Raxon and Maksim Dark remix came out after I released the initial album but got another big push when the remix album came out.

Q2. What is your New Year’s resolution?

More beats, less sweets!

Q3. Please pick 1 or 2 must plays from your recent sets and explain why they're so good?

Carlo Ruetz – Don’t Know (Release 15.02.19 // SENSO SOUNDS)

Being also from northern Germany, Carlo and I just always feel connected. He already released some tracks on Senso Sounds but yet he tends to surprise me with even better productions. ‘Don’t Know’ is one of those tracks. Minimal, dirty and on point!

Oliver Huntemann – Momentum (André Winter Remix) (Release: 01.02.19 // SENSO SOUNDS)

My buddy André Winter did the remix for Momentum. He added a lot of groove to the track which is originally a downtempo electronica track. André really developed this one into a club banger without losing the original touch to it!

Q4. What was your first impression of Japan? What was the most surprising or impressive experience? Something within your expectation?

Unfortunately, I was only once in Japan some years ago for a clubshow alongside Extrawelt. I spent a couple of days in Tokyo and I loved it. I enjoyed a long shopping tour in Shibuya and went to some of the best food places I’ve ever been. The Japanese vibe is incomparable and I hope it won’t be too long before I’m back.

Q5. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Hello my friends from Japan, thanks for the support over the years. I’ve received many messages within the last couple of months showing me much love. I’m touched to see my music also on the spot in the land of the rising sun. Domo arigato!
