Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.

“Days of Disco” started a way I’m sure a lot of DJs can relate to.  At first it was a rap remix that we never finished on time, so it stayed as a tool in our sets.  We wanted to release it, but had to strip it down and build it up again from just drums and the bass sound.  Our previous single “Future of the Underground” had a rave influence and we decided to keep it going.

Once we found that vocal talking about disco, we had a theme to go off.  And on the very last day of mixing, we were going mad mixing it and had the idea of throwing in an actual disco sample in there, just as a funny fill.  It ended up being so cool we kept it!

Q2. How is this track special compare to other tracks you’ve released in the last few months?

For us, there is often a sense of humour to our music, especially with remixes.  But not always have we been able to put that character into our originals.  I think this one is a great balance of great for the club, but with a nice playful twist like we love to add. There's a lot of club music that can sound very similar to other contemporary artists, and this can get really boring for a producer, so we love when there is something very unique about a track!

Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?

We got a tune coming out on our label World Famous Headquarters by Das Kapital & MNNR called XTC and its sooooooo good. Absolutely love this tune and we have to play it every set. ALSO love, love, loving the new Chris Lake tunes. Everything has been fire. At least two Chris Lake tunes in each set. Seriously just pick any two and you’re good to go from there. I'll sneak in a third and just say “Aylen.” Check him out.

Q4. What was your first impression of Japan? What was the most surprising or impressive experience? Something within your expectation?

Japan is NOT overrated. I think we first toured there  in 2015, and we were blown away by the fans first of all! They were so dedicated, and had an energy we had never seen before.  We spent way too much money on clothes, and drunkenly had a bowl of ramen that I’ll never forget.

Q5. Any exciting new projects coming up that you can share with us?

A lot! Aside from our current singles, we also recently launched a Sirius radio show called World Famous Radio, where we showcase a new artist every month for a guest mix, as well as play new unreleased songs from us and friends.  Also, our label World Famous Headquarters - we had previously only released our own music, but in the fall we will put out our first compilation of music from friends, along with singles from great new artists as well. The label and radio show are both growing very fast!

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Japan you are an incredible country and we can’t wait to come back to play more music for you!!! (and eat more ramen)
