Breathe Carolina x IZII - Echo (Let Go) was released from Spinnin’ Records in the winter of 2016. Since his debut a year ago, Spotify and Soundcloud streams have reached over 7 million and with that in mind, Diplo, Tiesto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, R3hab, DVBBS, W&W have started to give support. Read his interview below about his latest release “Drifter”.

Q1. Please elaborate on your latest release on Lowly Palace and inspirations behind it.

I teamed up with Christian French on this one an amazing singer I had the pleasure to work with. Its all started when I got some demo from him months ago,and there was this one I loved in the first place and I started to create a full track around it.

It came out pretty quickly honestly we didnt spend much time on changing things here and there,in fact,In the end we made two verions of Drifter and of course we choose the best one.

Q2. How is this track special compare to other tracks you’ve released throughout the career?

Its the first time that I worked on an original with a male singer that is not a rapper, and thats what is special to me.

Its more deep than the others,it starts slowly, its darker in the beginning and then grows up to a more energic drop with the main hook played with an electric guitar and vocal chops that make everything more catchier.

Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?

The tracks that I would love to play in a set will be OPR by Gesaffelstein and Midnight Remix by Boys Noize and Mr.Oizo. I discovered both tracks thanks to a friend long time ago and I fell in love with them immediatly.

Both tracks have an insane amount of energy with just very few elements and thats what I love, they are just straight to point and that is what in a live set work in my opinion.

Q4. What was your best gig so far and what made it remarkable?

I'm more like a producer than a Dj for now, so I'm more focused on making tracks than playing them , but me and my team are definitely working to get some gigs in the very nearly future,we want to create something that people wont forget.

Q5. Do you have any exciting new projects coming up that you can share with us?

Yes,of course!

I've been working on lots of new stuffs lately both on very heavy tracks more suited for live sets and "poppier" ones much more radio friendly.

I want to keep this binomial because I can switch between genres without be bounded to a specific one and do whathever I want with my music.

My latest track I've been working on is with the singer Kait Weston,we already worked togheter in a previous release that had been pretty successfull and we would love to replicate that for sure in the future.

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Thanks for all your support and "take it IZII" :)

The past year has been satisfying for IZII as his name, brand and most importantly his music have started to spread in the dance music scene. Past releases “Bird” and “DRAMA” have been eye-catching and the new release “Drifter” is about the kick off his new career.
