We all still remember that their song “Mr. Meow” became no.1 of Beatport. Bali Bandits is now one of the real bangers who gained huge support from super stars such as Zedd, Galantis and Showtek and have constantly released  songs from Revealed Recordings. The Duo, this time, answered to our interview. Please enjoy their interview with the brand new song “Are you Ready?” 

Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.

Are You Randy? is a future/big room house track which combines Bassjackers’ style and ours very well we think. We met the guys a couple of years ago at our first gig during Amsterdam Dance Event and since then we sometimes ran into each other at festivals and talked about doing a track together. We never really had the time until last year and after emailing some ideas back and forth, we eventually finished the track together in the studio.

Q2. How is this track special compare to other tracks you’ve released throughout the career?

Especially the breakdown is a little different from what we normally create. You can hear a more aggressive festival big room sound, while we’d normally go for something smaller and more playful. 

Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?

Kool & The Gang - Celebration (Bali Bandits Bootleg) A must play in all our sets - this one gets the party started.

Q4. Are there any artists in particular you would love to collab with this year?

We really dig the melodies and productions of Galantis & Zedd, so we’d love to work on something with them on a three-way collab. We’d also like to work with Selena Gomez, Daft Punk and Tiësto (to name a few). 

Q5. What do you have coming up in the future?

Last year Zedd & Galantis premiered a track of ours during Ultra Miami and now we can say it’s finally being released, pretty soon actually! We’re also working on some collaborations with other cool producers/duos. Besides that we’ll release a more radio/dance pop crossover song later this year, as well as a Bali Bandits styled hip hop track. 

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Jan travelled through Japan with his father a couple of years ago and he absolutely loved it. Would definitely want to play there sooner rather than later and meet our Japanese fans. Thanks for reading!- Jordi & Jan
