A match made in heaven between Nick Middleton and Duncan Smith in film school created most funky and groovy duo The Funk Hunters. The duo is in high demanded right now from people all around the world who were witness their past work such as official remixes of Selena Gomez, Big Gigantic, Gramatik and imagine Dragons. They have been done total 450 shows at 16 countries and proved their ability to attract all people at their shows. Let us share about their latest release and resolution of 2018.

Q1. Please elaborate on your latest release and inspirations behind it.

Our latest release is a 115 bpm dance floor burner called Party Rockin’ that comes out Feb 23.  It has a new age electronic disco vibe and was inspired by listening to a healthy amount of Daft Punk :)

Q2. What are your resolutions for 2018?

To release our first full-length album! It's called TYPECAST and it drops worldwide on March 23. Then I think we’d like to share that new music with as many friends and fans as possible, both old and new!

Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your current sets and why?

Oliver - Ottomatic.  This song off Oliver’s latest album, Full Circle has been one of our favourites to play over the past few months.  It has an extremely well produced atmospheric intro with huge drums and a massive tempo changing buildup that delivers into a crunchy mid tempo drop!

K+Lab - Pull Up (Stickybuds Remix) This was one of our favorite songs from 2016 which has a dope old school G funk flow.  Stickybuds recently put his spin on it while keeping the original flavour but a beefed up baseline and it has been destroying the dancefloor lately!

Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 of your favorite electronic music artists at the moment and tell us why?

Griz has always been a big inspiration for us. He’s at the top of the game right now putting on incredible shows and releasing such a wide variety of soulful original music and future funk bangers!  We had the privilege of supporting his first ever live band show at Red Rocks in Colorado last fall and it was easily one of the most inspiration events we’ve ever been a part of.

Q5. Are there any artists in particular you would love to collab with this year?

Maybe a long shot but we’d love to get Anderson Paak on a song.  Easily one of our favorite new artists in the past couple years.  His song writing, production, and showmanship on stage has been very refreshing.

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

We are in love with Japanese culture and food!!!  Your country has been at the top of our list of places to go for many years so hopefully we can come visit very soon!!

Peeking into their past few year, they have made success on their tour in north America and several releases in past few years. So,There is no denying to put them into your list of hottest DJs in 2018. Especially, their performance with Jurassic 5 and chali 2na on their tour in north America was drastically memorized by all people who were there. Please keep your eyes on them, they must be the one who will excite us mostly in this year.
