The DJ and Producer Henry Saiz is the one who produced “Global Underground” and “Paradigm Musik Imprints” which surprised and gained great feedback from House-legendary John Digweed. Also, he has gained fame as one of pioneer who has delivered huge influence in chinema and TV show with music. His Remix of Guy J’s songs “Lamur” was remembered as Track of the Year in 2009 by this industry and other songs has attracted people in all around the world so far. We had chance to interview and ask him about his new release and his resolution.

Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.

'Ghosts' is the second single from the audiovisual album my band and I have been working on for the past year and a half. With the whole album we were trying to feature the places that would show all the aspects of what it means to be human (hence the album title) and Australia is one of them because it shows this fascinating contrast between hostile nature and an avant-garde civilization. We wanted to reflect in our song that strange way in which the past and the present coexist there.

Q2. How was this year? What was the best experience of 2017?

2017 has been hectic, but very exciting at the same time. Recording of the band album has been taking practically all of our time. Add to that a new Balance pres. Natura Sonoris compilation I’ve released during summer, a launch of my new label Lost Worlds Records and a release of my debut album under Hal Incandenza alias, and all of that on top of all the touring and regular releases. But I´m not complaining. I knew what I was signing myself up for with this ambitious project and I loved every minute of this experience. Yes, it was rather stressful at times, it was testing my limits as an artist, and actually as a human being too, but I wouldn’t trade any of that for the world. Now that the AV album is very close to finish, I can only feel excitement and gratitude that all of this could happen at all.

Q3. What do you feel has been your biggest achievement?

I guess, offering my audience a very risky project that would interest them enough to back it up and help us make it happen would surely be a very big achievement. And just generally being able to do what I am doing and making a living out of it. For that I couldn´t be more grateful to all the fans and supporters throughout my whole career. I wouldn’t be where I’m at right now if it wasn’t for them.

Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your sets and why?

There’s really no such thing as one specific must play for me, since every crowd has its own vibe, so most of the time I have to adjust my must plays for each of them.
However, over the past few months, I did find myself playing a lot a track by Tentacle and myself which I have written for my Balance compilation that is called “The Prophetess”.
I’m a big fan of 80s synth music and it appears that so are a lot of my fans and, I don’t know, it just works wonders every time. As a matter of fact, now that it has been one of the highlights of the compilation, we have released it with some killer remixes a few weeks ago on Natura Sonoris, hope you guys liked it.

Q5. Since DJ Mag started to vote “Top 100 Clubs”, I want to ask your favorite club and the reasons.

I always struggle with questions like this, as it´s hard to pick out just one. Every club I’m playing has its perks, its own special atmosphere and audience. But, well, if I had to choose a few I’d say Crobar in Buenos Aires, Ministry Of Sound London, Input Barcelona, The Block Tel Aviv… Vent in Tokyo has one of the best sound systems in the world in my opinion, and Stereo Montreal is just incredible... As I said, it´s a tough choice as each club is special in its own way.

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Whatever you want to do with your life, it’s achievable. If you’re passionate, hardworking and if you believe in yourself – there will be people to support you and have your back. Just do what you got to do and eventually you’ll be a winner.
Also, I really miss playing for you guys and hope to be back in Japan soon :)

His last performance at Japan in 2017 hugely attracted audience and put his name as one of the top-notch artists on their mind. At the end of this interview, he said that he misses playing for us in Japan with full of smile. There is no denying that all representatives and audience in this industry will be fascinated by The multi-talented artists “Henry Saiz” in 2018.
