Russian DJ/Producer, ARTY has released tons of music from top label such as Armada and Black Hole and almost all productions are slid into Beatport charts. The quality of his music was assured by top artists like Armin van Buuren and Swedish House Mafia and he won 25th place of DJ MAG TOP 100 DJs at 2011. Of course, his music have been drastically evolved and even now it is shining on dance music industry.

Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.

You know, over the past few years I tried myself into all genres of music ― indie, pop, and some weird electronic stuff, but my passion has always come from where my roots, and that’s Progressive House music. Music that works great either in the headphones, or at the festival; music that can be really emotional but uplifting at the same time. And that’s what my new track “Sunrise” is about, me going back to make music I truly love.

Q2. What are your resolutions for 2018?

Try to not get lost in a all of the music I’ve already made and have set to release in 2018! Also, I really want to find a balance between ARTY and ALPHA 9 projects. It was a bit challenging to accomplish last year since I still was seeking the sound I wanna make with ARTY, but so far, this year looks really promising.

Q3. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?

Actually it would be my track “Sunrise”! Since the moment I finished it and tested it out the first time at my show, it’s been the crowd’s favorite. It’s touchy and has really personal lyrics but the drop is quite uplifting, so I think those two differences works really well together!

Q4. What was your first impression of Japan? What was the most surprising or impressive experience? Something within your expectation?

I’m really unsatisfied how little time I spent in this beautiful country! I was in Tokyo only for one night a few years ago but it beat all of my expectations! First of all, even from the car’s window, Tokyo looks like no other city on this planet. And the most important - its people. I played in Ageha and was totally blown away by the crowd, some of the most passionate fans I’ve ever played for.

Q5. Since DJ Mag started to vote “Top 100 Clubs”, I want to ask your favorite club and the reasons.

Echostage in DC! Among the many reasons why I love this venue so much, there is always insane energy and a lot of friends around, every time it feels more of a family show, rather than just another club gig.

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

As I said before, I spent a really small amount of time in Japan, and I just hope to get back there as soon as I can, so we can throw a really dope party with my fans! :)
