French based New star “Aslove”, well known as his first single gaining 5 million streaming, recently worked on remix of world wide influencer such as Katy Perry and Caria Bruni. The new rising French producer exclusively shared his latest track “So High” and his resolution and mind to us.
Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.
The song is called 'So High', it's a track I composed more than a year ago. It is the first track out from my upcoming EP, ‘Preface(s)’. It represents my pop influences, such as Coldplay, who inspired me for the guitar gimmick. Last June, Holly Martin (one of the singers of Archive), came to my studio working on the top line and lyrics. After finishing this creative process, I got in touch with Norma Jean Martine thanks to a friend in common. She recorded the vocal parts from the US, she had the perfect voice for this song.
Q2. How was last year? What was the best experience of 2017?
2017 was amazing ! I signed to Capitol Records (Universal Music) and I went through wonderful experiences, like remixing Katy Perry, for example. I started touring all over my country and I met very interesting artists.
Q3. What are your resolutions for 2018?
My resolution for 2018 will try to make sports on a more regular basis. Having a healthy lifestyle is part of the game when you want to grow as an artist. I have a second wish, much nicer for me : Visit Japan !
Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?
CamelPhat & Elderbrook ‘Cola' (Robin Schulz Remix)' is for me a must play because the original track was already one. Most played track in Ibiza this year, this remix comes perfectly to continue playing this must play ! I still play a lot my own Edits and remixes, as I am pretty productive in the studio. Recently, I made a personal rework of Portugal The Man, for example.
Q5. Since DJ Mag started to vote “Top 100 Clubs”, I want to ask your favorite club and the reasons.
I won't judge clubs I never came to. So I could mention one venue in France : Sea Lounge in Porto-Vecchio on the wonderful island of Corsica, in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. When you're a DJ and you come to play there, it's just amazing. You play on the beach, 5 meters from an incredible blue sea, by 35° degrees. Figure it out!

Aslove has never failed to take advantage of any opportunity. We can not escape from remembering His Corinne Bailey Ray’s ”Put Your Records On” official cover and this cover was ranked in hit charts and more than 50 radio show played it.
