At Armada night 2016 in Tokyo, The floor got craze with Andrew Rayel, Orjan Nilsen and Armada’s next raising star “Rodg”. His talent is unearthed in not only DJ/Producers but also Business field like PR Manager and it led him to create unique and exciting world. The multi talent rising star tell us about his latest release and his resolution in 2018.

Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.

I’ve been friends with Roovel for a while and we’ve traveled together over the summer of 2017… I’m sure the travel and be on the go the whole time gave a “Fast Lane” feeling and brought the inspiration to do this record.

Q2. How was last year? What was the best experience of 2017?

Last year… Where to start? It was quite a ride. Releasing an album, playing shows all over the world. Highlights? Tomorrowland… Or A State Of Trance NL? Or Ultra Europe? Or all shows in Hi Ibiza I played? I don’t know, too many highlights maybe.

Q3. What are your resolutions for 2018?

Personally, be a good boy, eat healthy, go to the gym often. Music wise… Release an other Rodg album this year.

Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?

Obviously “Fast Lane” is a must play in my sets recently, but an other record I really like to play out is a Pryda record from a couple years back. It’s called “Vega” and has a mesmerizing work on the dance floor.

Q5. Since DJ Mag started to vote “Top 100 Clubs”, I want to ask your favorite club and the reasons.

It’s difficult to pick one out. Clubs around the world are different in so many ways. If I look back on the last year, I had the best nights at Hi Ibiza. So if I have to pick out one based on my experience of last year, it has to be Hi.

Q6. Please leave a message for your fans in Japan.

Kanpai and hope to see you all this year!

People called Rodg as “Next leader in dance music” and so many representatives in this industry such as Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Max Graham, Markus Schulz and Ruben de Ronde has provided strong support to him so far. For being leader in Trance scene, he will definitely keep producing music and performing in front of his fan with full energy. DJ MAG JAPAN will pay attention to him as well as past years.
