Netherland's DJ/Producer Julian Calor, whom Hardwell looks toward a bright future with, attracted so many funs in japan at his show in 2016. It is very hard for us to forget the truth that Dannic was discovered his talent by Hardwell. Julian Calor is about to get in same ship directly toward stardom of this game. The next game maker shared his latest single and recommended clubs for Top 100 CLUBS with us.
Q1. Please talk to us about your latest release and the inspiration behind it.
I just released my new single ‘Run Away’ with Maggie Szabo. It was so much fun to work on this! The amazing vocals from Maggie gave me immediate inspiration to work on a fun, yet emotional track. I incorporated some of the synths and leads from my older sound with a new trap’ish drum pattern which I love at the moment.
It was a big honour to hear that Tiësto wanted to release it on his label Musical Freedom. And the news got even better when I heard that he wanted to release a full EP on the label, so I couldn’t be more happy!
Q2. How was last year? What was the best experience of 2017?
Last year all the big things happened in the studio for me. I stayed off touring for a year to discover myself musically. And I can say it paid off, because I could really focus on making new sounds and styles that I haven't touched before. So 2017 was one big preparation for 2018 :)
Q3. What are your resolutions for 2018?
To eat more fruit, especially mango’s.
Q4. Can you pick 1 or 2 must plays in your recent sets and why?
My ‘Cell 2017 Reboot’ , and Kendrick Lamar - Humble (Skrillex remix).
Q5. Since DJ Mag started to vote “Top 100 Clubs”, I want to ask your favorite club and the reasons.
That’s a hard one! I think it is Bootshaus in Germany. I’ve never seen such a great and energetic atmosphere in a club before. Ministry of sound London and Womb Tokyo are close 2nd. Ministry of Sound because of it’s sound system. And Womb because of the amazing vibe and led screens on the roof (the sound system is also great btw). I remember playing my Totoro remix over at Womb, and the VJ immediately anticipated on it with scenes from the movie on the LED’s. Awesome.

My last visit to Japan has been one of the most amazing experiences in my life! Meeting you guys in person was a real pleasure and I love your culture (and food), its very inspirational! Let’s catch up soon, I have a lots of new music for you :)
By sending demo to Revealed Recordings in so many times, and since discovered by Harwell, His Name has been widely considered as one of the next leader in this game by all music representatives. There is a reason why he have performed at all the world wide biggest festival and clubs and gain an greatest evaluation from Billboard as “No,1 power player in near future”. He is now in progress of his exciting new project ( which can not be announced now), So we are looking forward to see him with his brand new style and sound in 2018.
